Set in the exclusive neighbourhood of San Benito Norte and surrounded by private gardens and leafy trees, the home sits in complete privacy in an enclave behind security gates.
Five teams of carpenters worked on the house, principal among them was Don Andrés Velásquez, who set up his workshop for 5 years. He hand carved all the doors and windows of the house, as well as the furniture of both studies.
The muralist Saúl Villa worked for four month painting the ceiling and wall of the main hall based on a photograph of a sunset in the beach town Celestún.
The ceiling of the main room, the columns in this room as well as the hallway and ceiling towards the oratory were works of the sculptor Rosendo López. He also created the
window protectors in the bedroom area as well as flying buttress lamps on the outside of the house, all in bronze. Several teams of engineers, blacksmiths and master masons worked with the owners to achieve unique pieces that are seen throughout the house.
